I came across the idea of fasting when I was in my early twenties (almost 20 years ago!). A friend of mine had just finished a 10 day Juice fast and I was intrigued by his self-control and also ability to go days without food consumption!

So that is when I started exploring the benefits of fasting and integrating it into my health practices.

My first Juice Fast was 7 days duration.

I was a vegetarian for years before starting fasting practices, so I had already eliminated meat from my diet and I ate minimal dairy products. I also didn’t drink coffee or much alcohol so I found the preparation time for fasting not too challenging.

But it did take a lot of discipline, organisation and focus to get through my first fast and it was a big learning curve for me.

I needed to learn the best practices for fasting. I was working full time at a school, so I was always so busy racing around. It wasn’t easy to do a fast while I was in the staff room with the aroma of everyone else’s lunch!

I was so fortunate to have my friend to guide me on my fast and answer all my questions. I started to read more and research the benefits of fasting and how it helped so many improve their health outcomes such as lifestyle diseases like diabetes.

In my years of Juice Fasting practices, I have seen real benefits to my physical and spiritual well-being from regular fasting. It helps me clear my digestive system, leaving me feeling less bloated and heavy.

It also gives me an opportunity to go deeper into my spiritual world and ask bigger questions of myself.

I took a break from fasting when I had my 3 children. I do not recommend fasting to any woman who is pregnant or breastfeeding. So if this is you, please park this idea of fasting for now until the time is right.

I am pregnant, can I do this program?

No. If you are pregnant, or breastfeeding, please do not do any form of fasting! If you would like to do this program in the future, it is worth investing in it now, as you have lifetime access.

Does this program help me lose weight?

The short answer is, yes. You will find some weight loss in this program. However, this is NOT a weight loss program and should not be used as such. In fact, if you finish the Fast and jump back into old habits, you will put the weight straight back on.

Fast for Health is designed to reset the body, clear the mind and also encourage mindful eating.

How many days is the Fast?

I recommend a minimum of 5 days. but it is up to you – you may do 3, 4 or 5 days. You can even do up to 10 days. As fasting becomes a regular habit, it becomes less challenging and daunting!
